Pharmacy Considerations
One feature that is often overlooked is the availability of a Pharmacy.
One client noted that her entire Medicare Part D Plan selection process was based on finding a plan that worked with a Pharmacy that she had trusted for many years.
Is your favorite Pharmacy included within a plan's Pharmacy Network?
Please note, Medicare Part D providers are still negotiating with pharmacies, so if your pharmacy is not included in your chosen plan's Network, check back later and you may find the pharmacy added. If you are really serious about getting your home-town Pharmacy involved, it is possible to recommend a pharmacy directly to the Medicare Part D providers for inclusion in their Pharmacy Network. Ask your Medicare Part D plan provider for more details.
When your are checking for Pharmacies in your area, be sure to check beyond your local Zip Code for other nearby shops.
